Ways You Can Help......
Book Drive- Your school, church or group collects gently used children's books that are then distributed by The Learning Center at locations serving families most likely to be at risk for low literacy. Research has shown that children who have books in their homes are significantly more likely to participate in reading activities from a variety of sources. Unfortunately, 2/3 of children living in poverty have NO BOOKS in their homes and their parents are unlikely to seek out services such as the public library.
Volunteer- We need willing hands and loving hearts to help with everything from office work to website maintenance, program delivery to fundraising events. Click Here to e-mail the Director and find out how you can help.
Make a Donation- Donations are the lifeblood of our organization. Without your generosity we wouldn’t be able to provide the books and services to our community’s children. Consider making a gift in someone's honor - a wonderful option for recognizing your child's teacher or a business associate.
Any amount that you contribute is helpful. Here is an idea of how your money will be used:
-
$50.00 provides a Lovin' Spoonfuls or Leap Into Books program
-
$250.00 provides a 6-week Young Readers Theatre program
-
$1,000.00 provides a 10-week Ready, Set, School Club program
You are not restricted to these dollar amounts: every dollar helps change families' lives!
